Wooden longtail boats moored on a teal sea below limestone cliffs

"We've done a lot of island tours in Asia. This was the first one that felt like a friend taking us out on his boat — not a conveyor belt."

Who we are

A small Ao Nang outfit, on the water since 2014.

Krabi FeelGood started with one longtail and one stubborn idea: that a day on the Andaman should feel relaxed, not rushed. No megaphones, no 40-person speedboats, no being herded off a beach the moment you've put your towel down.

These days we run a handful of boats and a team of local skippers and guides — but the idea hasn't changed. We keep groups small, we leave early, and we treat the islands like the home they are.

Rainforest & Lake Day

Khao Sok Day Trip from Krabi

The Khao Sok day trip is our one proper day away from the coast — a land-and-lake escape into rainforest older than the Amazon, a two-to-three-hour drive inland from Ao Nang. This isn't a beach day. It's towering limestone karsts, emerald water and jungle that has been standing for well over a hundred million years.

We pick you up early from your hotel and head north to Khao Sok National Park, where a longtail boat is waiting on Cheow Lan Lake — a vast, jade-green reservoir hemmed in by cliffs that rise straight out of the water. You'll cruise past the famous three-peak karsts, stop at a cluster of floating raft houses for a Thai lunch over the water, and take a guided walk into the forest to look for gibbons, hornbills and macaques in the canopy.

It's a long, full day with a fair bit of driving, but the scenery is completely different from the islands — quieter, greener, wilder. Small group, English-speaking guide, drinking water and fresh fruit included, as always.

Message us on WhatsApp and we'll sort out your pickup time, the day's conditions and availability.

FAQ

What's included in the Khao Sok day trip?
Hotel pickup and drop-off around Ao Nang and Krabi town, air-conditioned transport for the drive inland, a longtail boat ride on Cheow Lan Lake, a Thai lunch at the floating raft houses, and a guided jungle walk with our English-speaking crew. Drinking water and fresh fruit come with every trip. Bring sun protection, a swimsuit and comfortable shoes for the forest walk.
How long is the day, and how far is Khao Sok from Krabi?
It's a full day — expect an early pickup and a late-afternoon return. Khao Sok is inland, roughly a two-to-three-hour drive each way from Ao Nang, so there's real time in the van, but the lake and rainforest are unlike anything on the coast. We'll confirm your exact pickup time on WhatsApp once we know where you're staying.
Is Khao Sok worth it as a day trip, and is it crowded?
Yes — Cheow Lan Lake is one of the most striking landscapes in southern Thailand, and a day trip lets you see it without an overnight stay. It's far quieter than the islands: you're on a small boat gliding under the cliffs, not sharing a busy beach. If you'd rather sleep among the karsts in a raft house, ask us about the overnight version.
Is this a beach day or a swimming trip?
Neither, really — it's a land-and-lake day, not a beach day. You can take a dip in the freshwater lake when conditions allow, but the heart of it is the boat ride, the karst scenery, the raft houses and the jungle walk. If you're after islands and snorkeling, our 4 Islands or Phi Phi trips are the ones to look at.
Is the Khao Sok trip good for kids?
It can be great for families who don't mind the drive — the longtail boat ride and spotting monkeys and hornbills are a real hit with children. Just keep in mind it's a long day with a fair bit of travel, so it suits kids who ride well in a van. Children under 4 usually come along free; tell us their ages when you book and we'll advise.
How do we book?
Message us on WhatsApp. Tell us your dates, how many adults and children, and where you're staying in Ao Nang or Krabi town. We'll confirm availability, pickup time and the day's conditions. Booking is by WhatsApp — there's no online payment, and it costs nothing to ask us a question first.
