Wooden longtail boats moored on a teal sea below limestone cliffs

"We've done a lot of island tours in Asia. This was the first one that felt like a friend taking us out on his boat — not a conveyor belt."

Who we are

A small Ao Nang outfit, on the water since 2014.

Krabi FeelGood started with one longtail and one stubborn idea: that a day on the Andaman should feel relaxed, not rushed. No megaphones, no 40-person speedboats, no being herded off a beach the moment you've put your towel down.

These days we run a handful of boats and a team of local skippers and guides — but the idea hasn't changed. We keep groups small, we leave early, and we treat the islands like the home they are.

Paddle Krabi

Kayaking in Krabi

Krabi is one of Thailand's best places to put a paddle in the water — sheltered mangrove channels, glassy freshwater lakes and sea caves, all within half an hour of Ao Nang. No waves, no experience needed: every trip here is calm-water paddling that works for first-timers and kids as well as seasoned kayakers.

The classic is Ao Thalane, where you drift through mangrove corridors and canyon-like limestone walls (half day from ฿1,300, sunset trips with BBQ dinner too). Klong Root, the 'Mirror Lake', is a spring-fed freshwater lake so clear and still it reflects like glass — kayak, swim and feed the fish from ฿1,000, with ATV or elephant-care add-ons. The Krabi canal trip is the easy half-day starter at ฿500, and a guided mangrove half-day at Ao Thalane runs ฿800.

Every trip includes hotel pickup around Ao Nang and Krabi town, kayaking equipment, drinking water and a guide. Tell us your date on WhatsApp and we'll sort the rest.

FAQ

Where is the best kayaking in Krabi?
Three spots stand out. Ao Thalane for the mangrove channels and towering limestone canyons — the classic sea-kayak trip. Klong Root ('Mirror Lake') for impossibly clear, calm fresh water where you can swim and feed the fish. And the Krabi canal for an easy, budget-friendly half day. All three are within about 30 minutes of Ao Nang and we run daily trips to each.
How much does kayaking in Krabi cost?
The Krabi canal half-day starts at ฿500 per adult (฿400 child). A guided mangrove half-day at Ao Thalane is ฿800/฿600. Klong Root kayaking with swimming and fish feeding is ฿1,000/฿600. The full Ao Thalane sea-kayak program runs ฿1,300/฿900 for a half day, ฿1,800/฿1,200 for a full day with swimming, or ฿2,500/฿1,800 for sunset kayaking with BBQ dinner. Hotel pickup is included on every trip.
Is kayaking in Krabi suitable for beginners and kids?
Yes — all our kayaking is calm-water paddling: mangrove channels, a sheltered bay and a flat lake, never open sea. Guides give a short paddling briefing, life jackets are provided in all sizes, and kids ride in a double kayak with a parent. Programs adjust with tide and weather to keep the water easy.
What should I bring on a kayak trip?
Light clothes you don't mind getting wet, swimwear, sunscreen, a hat, mosquito spray for the mangroves and a camera or phone — Klong Root trips include a waterproof bag. Kayaking equipment, life jackets, drinking water, fruit and hotel transfer from Ao Nang or Krabi town are all included.
