A small Ao Nang outfit, on the water since 2014.

Krabi FeelGood started with one longtail and one stubborn idea: that a day on the Andaman should feel relaxed, not rushed. No megaphones, no 40-person speedboats, no being herded off a beach the moment you've put your towel down.

These days we run a handful of boats and a team of local skippers and guides — but the idea hasn't changed. We keep groups small, we leave early, and we treat the islands like the home they are.

The Hong Islands sit in a sheltered bay between Ao Nang and Krabi town — calmer, closer and usually quieter than the long run out to Phi Phi, which makes this one of the easiest island days in the area for families. The star is Hong Island itself and its hidden lagoon, The Room: a near-enclosed pool of emerald water ringed by towering limestone walls that you slip into through a narrow gap in the cliffs.

Around it you'll snorkel the clear shallows off Pakbia Island and Daeng Island, laze on the quiet white sand of Lao Lading, and — if you fancy it — take the optional kayak through the mangroves and hidden coves. Strong legs can climb the 360° Viewpoint for a look over the whole scattered archipelago.

What's included in the Hong Islands tour?
Hotel pickup and drop-off around Ao Nang and Krabi town, all your boat transfers between the islands, snorkelling gear, drinking water, fresh fruit and a friendly English-speaking crew who grew up on this coast. The Hong Islands are inside a marine national park, so a park entrance fee applies and isn't included — message us on WhatsApp and we'll tell you the current fee and what to bring.
How long is the tour and where does it start?
It's a full day out — roughly six hours around the islands, plus your hotel transfers either side. We pick you up from your hotel around Ao Nang or Krabi town in the morning and drop you back in the afternoon. The exact pickup time depends on where you're staying and the tide, so we confirm it with you on WhatsApp the day before rather than guessing here.
Is the Hong Islands tour worth it, or is it too crowded?
It's one of our favourites. The enclosed lagoon at The Room and the turquoise water are genuinely beautiful, and because the bay is closer and more sheltered than Phi Phi the boat ride is smoother and shorter. It's a well-known spot so you'll see other boats, but going early and spending time at the quieter snorkelling islands like Pakbia and Daeng keeps you away from the crowds for much of the day.
Is it good for kids and families?
Yes — this is one of the best island days for families. The bay is calm, the beaches are shallow and gentle, the crossing is shorter than Phi Phi, and there's easy snorkelling plus an optional kayak the kids usually love. Children under 4 usually travel free; tell us your children's ages on WhatsApp and we'll suggest the best boat for your group.
Speedboat or longtail — which should I choose?
Both visit the same islands. A longtail is the traditional open-air Thai boat — slower, breezier and more relaxed. A speedboat is quicker and covered, so you spend less time travelling and more time in the water, which suits families who don't want a long ride.
