Krabi FeelGood started with one longtail and one stubborn idea: that a day on the Andaman should feel relaxed, not rushed. No megaphones, no 40-person speedboats, no being herded off a beach the moment you've put your towel down.

These days we run a handful of boats and a team of local skippers and guides — but the idea hasn't changed. We keep groups small, we leave early, and we treat the islands like the home they are.

James Bond Island Tour from Krabi

The James Bond Island tour trades the beaches for something more cinematic — a full day out in Phang Nga Bay, the maze of sheer limestone karsts north of Krabi. The star is Koh Tapu, the slender leaning rock made famous by The Man with the Golden Gun, standing in the shallows below the cliffs of Khao Ping Kan. You'll get your photo, then trade the crowds for the quiet water most day-trippers miss.

The best part is the sea-canoeing: a local paddler takes you into the hongs and low sea caves that thread through the karsts, where the bay opens into hidden lagoons ringed by jungle. Lunch is usually at Koh Panyee, the stilted Muslim fishing village built out over the water against a cliff. We run it as a small group by speedboat or longtail, with hotel pickup around Ao Nang and Krabi town, drinking water and fresh fruit on board, and a crew who grew up on this coast. What's included in the James Bond Island tour?
Hotel pickup and drop-off around Ao Nang and Krabi town, your boat across Phang Nga Bay, the sea-canoeing with a local paddler, lunch (usually at Koh Panyee), drinking water, fresh fruit, life jackets and an English-speaking guide. The one thing that's extra is the Ao Phang Nga National Park entrance fee, paid in cash on the day — roughly ฿300 per adult and ฿150 per child.
How long is the day, and how far is the bay?
It's a full day out. Phang Nga Bay sits north of Krabi, so it's a longer run than the local four-island loop — expect an early hotel pickup and to be back in the afternoon. A speedboat makes the crossing quicker; a longtail is slower but more relaxed. We'll give you the exact pickup time when you book, based on your hotel and the tide.
Is it worth it, or is it too touristy?
James Bond Island itself is a quick, busy photo stop — you don't land for long, and boats do cluster there mid-morning. What makes the day worth it is everything around it: canoeing into the hongs and sea caves, the karst scenery, and lunch at Koh Panyee. Going in a small group and timing the famous rock around the peak crowds makes a real difference.
Is it good for kids?
Yes — it's a popular family day. The canoeing is done sitting in a stable canoe paddled by a local guide (you're not paddling yourself), everyone wears a life jacket, and there's swimming and beach time depending on the boat. Children under 4 usually travel free; just tell us their ages when you message so we can plan the right boat.
Do we actually get to land on James Bond Island?
Yes. The boats stop at Khao Ping Kan, where you walk on the small beach and viewpoint to see Koh Tapu — the leaning rock — up close. You can't climb the rock itself, as it's protected, but you'll get right down to the shoreline for photos before moving on to the canoeing and Koh Panyee.
