Pileh Lagoon follows, a turquoise basin ringed by limestone cliffs where the boat sits in still water between rock walls. Viking Cave is a historic cave and a photo stop rather than a landing.

Monkey Beach is inhabited by wild monkeys, and whether the boat can visit depends on tidal conditions on the day. Keep your belongings secured while you are there. Monkeys are fast and unbothered by ownership.

Lunch is at Phi Phi Don, the main island of the group, and a Thai buffet lunch is included. Bamboo Island, with its white sand beach, is the swimming and relaxing stop.

The return leg brings in the 4 Islands: Chicken Island, with the limestone formation that gives it its name, and Poda Island, soft white sand and clear water. Snorkeling happens among coral reefs and marine life along the way, with equipment and life jackets provided. You are back around 16:15, with the rest of the afternoon and the whole evening still yours.

What to bring

Swimwear under your clothes, a towel, reef-safe sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses, since ten hours is a long exposure. A light layer for the early start, because the first hour on a moving speedboat before the sun is properly up is cooler than the rest of the day. Sandals or water shoes for the beaches. A dry bag for your phone. Hotel round-trip transfer, drinking water, seasonal fruits, Krabi cake and Pepsi, the Thai buffet lunch, snorkeling equipment, life jackets, a professional English-speaking guide and basic accident insurance are all included. The itinerary is subject to change due to weather and sea conditions, and the Monkey Beach stop specifically depends on the tide, so it is not guaranteed on any given day.

Roughly November to April is the calm, clear season on this coast. May to October is the monsoon, and the crossing out to Phi Phi is more exposed than the trips that stay close to Ao Nang.

The trip runs by speedboat at ฿2000 per adult and ฿1800 per child aged four to eleven. Hotel round-trip transfer is included in that.

The Phi Phi national park entrance fee is not included in that price. It is ฿400 per adult and ฿200 per child aged four to eleven, charged per person.
