Wooden longtail boats moored on a teal sea below limestone cliffs

"We've done a lot of island tours in Asia. This was the first one that felt like a friend taking us out on his boat — not a conveyor belt."

Who we are

A small Ao Nang outfit, on the water since 2014.

Krabi FeelGood started with one longtail and one stubborn idea: that a day on the Andaman should feel relaxed, not rushed. No megaphones, no 40-person speedboats, no being herded off a beach the moment you've put your towel down.

These days we run a handful of boats and a team of local skippers and guides — but the idea hasn't changed. We keep groups small, we leave early, and we treat the islands like the home they are.

Mangroves & Sea Canyons

Kayaking at Ao Thalane

Ao Thalane is Krabi's mangrove kayaking bay — a maze of emerald channels, hidden lagoons and canyon walls of limestone rising straight out of the water, about 30 minutes from Ao Nang. You paddle at water level through tunnels of mangrove roots, past macaques, mudskippers, kingfishers and sea eagles, in water so sheltered it barely ripples.

Three programs run daily from 08:30: a half day (08:30–12:00, ฿1,300 adult / ฿900 child), a full day with swimming (08:30–15:00, ฿1,800/฿1,200), and the sunset trip with BBQ dinner (฿2,500/฿1,800) — paddling into golden hour, then eating by the water. Full-day combos can add lunch, elephant care, ATV or even a bioluminescent cave after dark.

It's calm-water paddling suitable for all ages — no experience needed, guides brief you before you launch. Hotel pickup around Ao Nang and Krabi town, kayaking equipment, insurance, water and fruit are included. Message us on WhatsApp with your date and program.

FAQ

What is Ao Thalane and why kayak there?
Ao Thalane is a sheltered mangrove bay about 30 minutes from Ao Nang, considered the best sea-kayaking spot in Krabi. You paddle through narrow mangrove corridors and 'sea canyons' — passages where limestone cliffs close in on both sides — and typically spot macaques, mudskippers, kingfishers and sea eagles. It's the closest thing to gliding through a jungle at water level.
How much does Ao Thalane kayaking cost?
Half day (08:30–12:00) is ฿1,300 per adult and ฿900 per child. Full day with swimming (08:30–15:00) is ฿1,800/฿1,200. Sunset kayaking with a BBQ dinner is ฿2,500/฿1,800. All programs include hotel pickup around Ao Nang and Krabi town, kayaking equipment, insurance, drinking water and fruit.
Is Ao Thalane kayaking hard? Can children join?
It's easy — the bay is sheltered and the water is calm, so this is relaxed paddling rather than a workout. All ages join: children share a double kayak with a parent, life jackets come in all sizes and the guide keeps the group together. The route flexes with the tide, which is what keeps the channels calm year-round.
What should I bring to Ao Thalane?
Light clothes that can get wet, swimwear if you're on the full-day program, sunscreen, a hat, mosquito spray (it's a mangrove forest) and a camera. Everything else — kayak, paddle, life jacket, dry briefing, water, fruit and the hotel transfer — is included in the price.
